As one of Malaysia’s
longest established event services
organisations, Creative Event Solutions
(Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, formerly Showorx
Orbit Sdn Bhd (a member of the Showorx
Productions group of companies and part
of the founding Atlantic Orient Group
established in 1995) has adapted its
organisational structures and service
offering to suit an ever evolving
market.
By 1999, the company had
substantially increased its market
share; recording tremendous organic
growth in equipment, manpower, clients
and brand recognition. While our
competitors down-sized during the Asian
Currency Crisis, we expanded on all
levels.
In 1999, we expanded our
service breadth by forming alliances
with reliable strategic partners to
deliver special effects, automations and
decor fabrication as an extension of our
existing equipment supply and event
execution services. Now, as one of the
leading event services companies, our
growth accelerated across Malaysia,
through the Peninsula and Langkawi, into
East Malaysia and the ASEAN region. The
company also began to explore the
international market, securing business
in Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore in
subsequent years.
By 2001, client service
needs were broadening toward viable and
practical event solutions, particularly
in areas relating to human asset
management. Our services now expanded
through additional alliances to include
team building. We also formed a research
& development division for special
effects and automations development.
Our client service needs
broadened still further by 2003, with
concept design now needing to be better
coordinated and aligned with marketing
and branding strategies so that events
can drive sales. Again we adapted with
additional services and alliances to
include marketing and branding guidance,
and public relations services.
These shifts in the
breadth of client needs culminated in
2004 with the organisation integrating
its various subsidiaries under the
Evention
brand to streamline its service
activities while better reflecting the
company’s creativity and solutions
talent. Because of the very breadth of
our in-house deliverables, we work more
closely with our clients; not simply as
their contractor; but more frequently as
an extension to their event committee.
In Autumn 2004, we acquired our
250,000cuft new office and warehouse
facility to consolidate our four storage
facilities and sales/admin office into a
single space. With the market now
becoming more price-driven, such
centralisation brings benefits in
logistical, response and service
efficiencies that can now better meet
the service and pricing needs of our
clients.
We are now looking to
African and European markets to further
increase our international portfolio and
brand recognition, particularly in areas
such as company incentive programmes.
The company also aims to increase its
Governmental event portfolio over the
coming two years.
